Crack a Bottle beat is old

Postby shadysavedme » Mar 28th, '09, 17:44

I dont know if anyone else posted this, but i didnt see it.
Has anyone noticed that the beat from crack a bottle is almost exactly the same as "Preservation" off of Wu-Tang Meets the Indie Culture?? My friend bought it yesterday and i just noticed it.

Yup, already posted. The beat is different though, it's just much alike and from the same song but Dr. Dre made his own, he didn't just copy it.

Actually, Dre and Del Tha Funkee Homosapien sampled Mike Brant's "Mais Dans La Lumiere" (a song from over 30 years ago).

But yeah, Dre samples a lot. I don't mind but I think its dope when artists and producers write their own shit.

Yeah, Dre used the same sample as that one.

Which was much, much better than Crack a Bottle.

_SacJB wrote:you know it's funny cuz I was thinking the song sounded kind of like an old beat. I never heard wu tang before very much. But this means some of eminems relapse songs may have a style that's similar to classic rap in the 90's. that would be pretty cool. We need classic beats back, not modern day BS.

Actually, Crack A Bottle is about the farthest you can get from "classic rap in the 90s".

Just sayin.
