Why Was Encore So Bad/Disapointing???

With the anticipation of a new Em album, I have spent the past few weeks listening to his first 4 major releases(SSLP, MMLP, TES, and ENCORE)... His first three CD's are all classics in my mind. FRom album to album you could hear his maturity as an artist and his nack for creativeness. I can listen to those three albums from front to back without having to skip a song. They are all THAT GOOD and made Eminem who he is today.

I popped in Encore this weekend and listened to it from front to back. I have to admit that Em sounds bored as hell on this album. I also have to admit that Dre's beats on this album are a bit lame as well. The album actually starts out good with Evil Deeds, Never Enough, Yellow Brick Road , Like Toy Soldiers(which was just ok in my opinion). Puke was not good. I liked the beat but he sings the whole song, as he kind of does on Evil Deeds and Crazy in Love, and I dont think that style suits him well. After Mosh the album is garbage, with the exception of Mockingbrid, Rain Man(best song on the album), Crazy in Love is a good tune, just wish he sould have rapped instead of that sing songy crap and Encore was tight as well. Big Weenie is the worst Eminem song of all time. My First Single wasnt much better. Just Lose it is probably the worst single Em ever put out. Ass Like That was creative, but at the end of the day, I didnt give it many listens after first hearing it. Spend Some Time and One Shot Two Shot were filler songs and never got me excited. After listening to this album for the first time back in November of '04, I couldnt help but feel very disapointed. I mean, this is Eminem, the rapper who we have all come to expect big things from!!! Personally, I dont think Em had any inspiration for this album and that is why it was so disapointing for many of his fans. There were too many fart noises, burps, etc. on too many songs on this album. Overall, I thought this album had some good songs, but the bad outweighed the good and thats why I and so many others were so disapointed.

Why do you guys think Encore was so disapointing? I know alot of younger kids love the album, but most, if not all of the people I know that started listening to Em when the SSLP dropped were majorly disapointed...

I am excited about Relapse though... how can you not be???????????????????????????????????????
