Eminem, Dre & 50 Recording Session at the Palms

Eminem, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent are legendary rappers in their own right, yet the three icons recently joined forces during a recording session in the studio at the Palms.

The resort’s owner, George Maloof, said the trio had the loudest recording sessions the casino has ever heard.

“I think it’s the only time that we’ve had anybody in our studio where you could actually hear the sound through the walls,” he said.

“The room … is four rooms in one,” he explained. “It’s, like, impossible to hear through the walls – except for those guys.”

A number of the resort’s musically-inclined A-list guests have used the studio in the past. Usher used it to the lay down a few tracks during his last visit – yet no sound escaped when the R&B star used it.

Maloof credited Eminem, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent’s high volume to the enhanced equipment the rappers imported for the 3-week-long project.

“They brought in so much extra equipment,” Maloof said.

“I’ve never heard something so loud, so special,” he said. “It was really cool.”

Maloof admitted he wasn’t aware of what was going on in the studio until the day he stepped off the elevator and heard the music coming from inside.

“It was so, so loud,” he recalled – and he liked what he heard.

“I kind of left them alone … (but) I heard a little bit of it,” he said.

“It was unbelievable,” he said. “Un-believable.”

“They’re very focused and it just hit really hard,” he said.

The rappers’ finally wrapped recording last week, after about three weeks in the studio.

Before they packed up, however, they came together for yet another, different kind of recording.

“We ended up doing a video for one of their songs,” Maloof said.

“We did it in the casino playing blackjack,” Maloof said. “I actually dressed up as a dealer and it was kind of a scene from Rain Man. I dealt cards to the three guys, to Dr. Dre and Eminem and 50 Cent.”

The video is said to be for Eminem’s soon-to-be-released single, from his soon-to-be-released album, “The Relapse.”

Maloof kept mum on the other details, choosing to let fans draw their own impressions when they see it for themselves.

The video will premiere tomorrow, while the album drops May 19.

In a clip posted to his Web site, Eminem said he relied upon a lot of improvisation to film the video – and that’s just how the 36-year-old rapper likes it.

“Once we get a basic treatment, we … mess around, like, play around a little bit and see, you know, what comes out of it,” he said.
