Eminem, Moby singles reviewed

They should just get a room already.

For two guys who seem to hate each other's guts, Moby and Eminem sure spend a lot of time in each other's orbit.

Case in point: Today, both the crusading electronica artist (who once called Eminem "a misogynist, a homophobe, a racist and an anti-Semite") and the controversially mischievous rapper (who, true to form, called the Mobester "a bald-headed f--" in response) released new digital singles from their forthcoming albums.

Coincidence? You be the judge.

As for the music, well, we'll be the judge of that. Here are our first impressions.

Eminem | We Made You | 4:39

"You miss me?" asks Slim Shady right off the bat on this upbeat cut from his long-awaited Relapse, due May 19. Much as we (and Moby) hate to say it sometimes, we did miss him -- nobody can skewer pop culture quite as cuttingly as Eminem. And Marshall Mathers is at his sharp, sophomorically silly best here.

Over a brashly strutting horn-flecked bounce clearly borrowed from Hey Big Spender, Em lasciviously lacerates a host of female celebs -- everyone from Britney, Lindsay and Jessica to Ellen, Portia and Sarah Palin -- with his usual rapid-fire ridiculousness.

Our favourite line: "Damn, I think Kim Kardashian's a man." Oh, snap. "You think that's bad, you should hear the rest of my album," he boasts. Bring it on.
