In a recent interview with XXL he said he was clean... he said he got really bad in '05-'06 and part of '07... but since then he has cleaned up and is working out with the Detroit Pistins trainor to get in shape... He said it really fucked him up... I think he had a serious pill problem... but he didnt say what drugs he was doing...

Well, I don't believe that was 'cause of the drugs. He was fucked up because of Proof's death, if you read his newest book, he describes not being able to speak a full sentence at times or even get out of bed. This was a big reason he wasn't out in the public a lot at the time, because everyone knew he was unstable.
