i think its impressive sales considering em hasnt toured or done any promotion since last may

Tis very impressive considering the lack of promotion there was, compared to something like Blueprint 3.

although his older stuff is alot better

I used to be stupidly into him, but apart from Reasonable Doubt (one of the cleverest albums) and Blueprint, I dont really like any of his stuff now. It's just too repetitive for me.

BP3 was just a mainstream sellout album. No comparison to his old material. I've always found Jay to be very repetitive as well. Maybe just laziness or just being content. But he has a huge, loyal fanbase, much like Em

Relapse was repetitive but thats one album, I'm talking 90% of Jay's career. Plus Relapse had enough different accents, rhyme techniquies and flows to keep it fresh.

Yeah, I was talking about the majority of his Jay's career too. Most of his songs sound the same in terms of his voice, flow and style. Em changes it up.
