I was listening to Shade 45 this morning with Cipha Sounds. They were having an interview with this Ortiz dude about him signing with The Math. Apparently, how the story went, Cipha had Ortiz on his MTV show and when he asked Ortiz who he was signed to Ortiz said he was a free agent. Someone at Aftermath contact Dre immediately, and then the rest is history. Ortiz said Dre flew him out to LA and the deal is almost done.
