Scrubz - Don't make me laugh feat. Big Ax-D

Postby Scrubz » May 24th, '11, 16:07

I was hoping to have a new track to drop but I'm still waiting chambers to do a few things. But for now I'll drop this final single from my debut album "self description"( viewtopic.php?f=38&t=112054 ). IT's a joint called "dont make me laugh", Produced by me, and it's featuring Big Ax-D on the hook. Leave me some feed back and I will do the same, Enjoy.

Beat is pretty refreshing. Flow is on point but voice is a little...ehhhh i dunno how to explain. But pretty good.

Man!! I just found out something interesting about your songs

they sound great on my Mac, (quality wise), but not as good on a PC. thats due to mix issues. you need to test out different speakers and headphones when finishing a song to make sure it will sound good on every plataform, cuz it does sounds incredibly good on the mac.

This is good to hear, my pc is pretty much dead so i wasnt able to check on that. I usually check how it sounds on crap lap to speakers, my head phones, and the sound system in my car.

Dope shit cuz.
Hit me up if you wanna drop a track..I'm always down for side projects.
:smoking:
And about that whole sound thing...If you check the wave file on a editor it should tell you if it's distorting...
Sometimes distortion happens when you have too much bass ironically..I've done heaps of research on that and clipping occurs when you use compressors/limiters and stuff with excessive bass as it conflicts with the treble..I'm never using them again..

already listened to this a couple of times on the TMW page, overall i enjoyed the track man, only downside is your vocals feel a little distant from the beat, delivery and mixing wise. Apart from that you had strong lyrics and your flow was solid the whole way through, i enjoyed the hook.. wasnt actually expecting it to be honest but when it came in it was a nice suprise to have that sort of hook on the track.

Heard a couple of your tracks man and every new one i hear i enjoy more, keep it up :y:

Your style kind of reminds me of Goretex from Non-Phixion. You have that oldschool NY style, with a bit of funk. Your flow is def funky sounding, it's dope. Your rhymes have gotten better since I last heard you. Much more technical now, good job on the improvement bro. I liked the beat, as usual you did your thing once again. Your drums are your specialty.

Ax's hook was extremely quiet, I didn't like it for the most part but it's rhythm was good. But it sounded like you were mumbling though. You kind of always do that on your hooks, it always has so many layers bouncing off eachother that it makes it hard to understand what you're saying. But it was a cool hook other than that. Overall it was an enjoyable track to listen to. Good shit Scrubz.

Good im glad you get the old school NY style, cuz thats me :smoking:. Thats what I grew up on and i kinda took that and added my own "stamp" so to speak on it. This was the last track i did for my last tape so its kinda new but I think Ive improved even more since then. Good looks on the feed and the praise man, if you ever wanna collab or even use a beat im always down. :y:

I never left feed for this but I did listen to it many times since it was posted lol

The beat is nice, I like the dark kinda feel to it and Ax's hook definately tapped into it perfectly.

Scrubz I feel your delivery coulda been stronger on this track tbh. When you first came in it sounded really underwhelming lol, like you were gonna be overpowered by the beat the whole way through. It didn't end up being the case but still. It sounds kinda quiet.

The lyrics were good, some of them were kinda meh in my opinion. Most of the verses sound like they could have just been on any track really, just rhyming about how well you rap lol. It was still enjoyale though, some of the lines stood out like the Joker one.

Decent track, I definately feel like the beat and Ax's hook made the track more enjoyable though.

YEah the whole album had that feel to it, like each verse could fit in on most of the other tracks. I really agree and have made it the MO on the ep im woking on atm. Have each song be original and fitting towards the concept, but at the same time have the collection of the songs come together as an album.

IF you got the time i would like to hear your thoughts of the new track me and chambers did called summer time, its in my sig. And btw i jst finished DL universal, wanna see if it lived up to the hype!
