Overall thoughts: I wouldn't call you an artist who's "listenable" yet, you have much to work on still and I didn't really enjoy any of the songs in this tape. Your flow is on beat but it's choppy and very flawed, this goes for all songs which is why I won't pinpoint the flow per track. Some lines you really nailed the flow like "As it rusts on the ground laying flatter than a pebble." and "I grew to flow, dangerous, waitin' for you to blow." and in others you elongated words and had pauses such as "
And like that, a man that only rhymes could pleasure." and " 'Cause I'm on fire, hook me up with a long wire,". Aside from flow, your delivery is quite monotone and you sound like if you try hard enough you're going to be the next Tom Chambers (no offense to him, I think he's pretty dope but I find that his delivery sounds half-assed in a lot of his songs...*waits for diss*). I myself find it very hard to record an entire tape of full songs so I commend you for your effort and I can clearly see you're working on your flaws and stepping it up; there's no doubt about that. Some very nice beats you've chosen, great work to Rise I suppose. I have no REAL area of expertise in rapping aside from I figure I can help you out with the choruses and point out their flaws. I liked how Pictures was just a long ass verse. It's nice to spice up tracks that way and just give it your all through a long ass verse lol. Kinda like the inside of a picture frame, that was dope. LMAO@ "Your ending will be worse than Mass Effect 3." I haven't played the game but it was funny seeing that considering all the negative feedback on its ending. Oh yeah, and I really liked the concepts and variations of them in every track, it's great that you're not just going for one sound.

Chorus on Get Ready
On such an upbeat song, you were whispering at the HOOK of the song. You should have been really energetic. Should've had more layers on that too. The panning going left to right sounded like balls too. You had the right idea but you didn't pull it off right.

Chorus on Never
Surprisingly I really liked your delivery on the chorus. I just feel it's boring how you can barely differentiate how the hook sounds from the verse. Remember it's supposed to hook your listeners in. Be exciting, be fun. Still think you should have used more layers here too.

Chorus on Echoes
This could've been your best chorus but you fucked it up having multiple layers that don't correspond. Sounds sloppy like that. If you were going for the multiple pitch thing like Eminem does it didn't work lol.

I apologize for the messy feedback but it's morning and I'm tired.

I'll DL this now. By the way, get back to me about those beats I sent you.

EDIT: No DL link? Don't make me sift through YouTube and its shitty buffering.

@ Zabe - Sorry about that. That whole idea with the beats kinda fell through... And if you check my Reverb page they're available to download. Link should be in the original post under my Reverb page. Not sure there's an actual DL link from there, it's an option under the song title on there... Sorry for the hassle.

@ Solace - Damn, thanks for the feed, man. At least my flow is on beat now. Now I just have to make smooth and not choppy. Gotcha. :) Glad you liked some of the lines in there. As for the half-assed delivery, I'm not gonna lie, listening to them now, I can see that. :facepalm I'm not gonna try to make excuses for that, I definitely need to fix that, although when I'm recording it feels like I'm giving it my all. Hmmm, I'll work on that, though, definitely! As for the chorus, hot damn, those are not my cup of tea haha. I'm more of a "give me a beat, I'll lay down a verse for it". I'll admit I suck at choruses and they need work. Differentiate the hook with the verse. Maybe a different pitch and voice style? On Echoes, it was like a "singy" chorus, and I'm not a singer :shifty: so I thought I'd layer that. To be honest, I thought the way it kinda meshed on "I can't get them outtttt" was kinda cool, it sounds like I auto-tuned that shit, but that was just all my layers. Sounded like an echo, kind of, like I'm lost in space or something. But nonetheless, thanks so much for the feed, I know what I need to work on now and I'll definitely try to assimilate that into my rap arsenal. :) Have a good one, bro.

Sorry to hassle you, but could you do a verse on one of my beats? I'd like to see what you could do, especially as I like the one you sent me but you said it sucked.

I actually liked them a lot. Sounds like you could be really good if you keep working at it. Keep up the great work!

@ Zabe - Yeah, man, I'm down with that. You can email me the beat you want me to drop a verse on and I'll start writing to it :) Glad you liked the track we did earlier, I'll have to listen to it again, but I think there was something I didn't like about it. I could try recording it again, perhaps.

@ Shady - Thanks for the listens! It seems like, from these reviews, I'm on the right track, I just need to put that extra oomph into the songs.
