yea on the chorus, i think that could have been better by having on echo on the first bar.. but it was sttill hot.

yea but seriosly mart's mixing is alot better than this for example listen to the other bar songs you can tell how good mart's mixing is but on this one it didnt sound like marts mixing

could you tell me what exactly I should have done better? :sweating: I wanna know, cause I always wanna get better :D

and tash, I made a few tests with the echo on the chorus, and I thought it didn't really sound good, and it was better with just delay on the "you ain't got the right"... cause sometimes echoes get irritating when there are too much  I even deleted some in the verses cause it was kinda over the top lol

but that's a matter of opinion/taste I guess

oh you mean, the overall sound of the mix? that's because I only mixed the vocals... when I mix a song with a beat that I didn't made, I prefer to not do too much during the mastering part cause I wanna make sure I don't ruin the beat lol... I'm not good enough with mastering, I'm better at mixing

and yeah DC, you're right, the beat could be a bit louder... at first I wanted the vocals to be a bit louder since it's a slow deep song, but I just checked again, and yeah the beat could a bit louder  I'll change it for the tape :shifty:

yea lol tha thing that you could of done better is editing tha acapellas like it sounds too raw. dunno wen i listen to ur other shit it sounds way different to this mixing im not talking about echoes or shit like that im saying edit tha aca by like tha way you did in tha last bar's single.

^^ yeah but like I said, I would probably end up ruining the beat too lol... I leave real mastering to those who spent years studying that art

but like DC said, the vocals are a bit too loud, so it changes the overall sound... cause as far as I can remember, I didn't do anything different while editing the acapellas lol :sweating: but I'll adjust the level of the vocals and send it to Bar

well if the mixing ya'll talking about overlays n stuff it wasnt mart that never did them i sayed to him not to have them, its a deeper track over editing in the accapella would have taken away the feel of the track, the rawness of my voice is to get the emotion in there...n i thought the mixing on the chorus was sick  and i dunno what the hell masterin is so...yeh lmao

thx for the comments ya'll :worship:

I like this one alot for many reasons;lyrics, concepts, beat, hook. Its great to see that not every single is a mart beat, shows diversity.Hook was prolly the best part of the track, although the verses were just as nice.Mixing was pretty good, prolly could of used overlays on the verses.

Great job both you guys.

yeh i aint got all mart beats on the tape..i have got alot though :sweating: but i made sure they were all completely different styles so it doesnt get too much similiar if like i had all of his energetic style beats lol

Well if you planned not to use them thats cool then.Overlays wouldnt take away from the rawness or feel of the song they just make it sound less flat. Also if you try playing this via speaker system rather then headphones you'll see what i mean, the verses sound sorta flat and bland.Overlays just giv it a little bass boost as well as puffing out the sound also add clarity to your rhymes to make what your saying clearer.

Its all about trial and error but the best way to check for 'true' sound of your tracks, its best playing them via speaker system.A track can sound sick thru headphones yet real flat via speakers.

who mixed this btw? mart acapella?
