Who's in 'Time 2 Shine'???? That guy who's on 2nd is sick as fuck

phantom, he got a soundclick if you look for one of his posts his links in his sig i think

and thx man :worship: yeh here to stay is different but i wanted to try a funk beat just for the fun of it :D thx again man :8)

its not really a funk beat man, funk has bass guitar and a jumpy melody. the beat is still good though. Just throwing the word "funk" around doesnt realy suit.

funk has this kind of sound, although this isnt the best exaple for the genre but its a goo example of the instrumental sound.

I only made the beat after listening to one james brown track tho lol  then I "freestyled" a new beat lol... maybe if I had used a different bass sound, it would have been better... the one I have is too low I think for that style

was a ok tape some pretty decent stuff here.Alot of the tracks are kinday corny at points  I dont see how you can call that track is funk :p its more jumpy upbeat hip hop...i dunno i just cant find any elements of funk.

Lyrics thruout are pretty nice aswell as flow, defo worth checking out.

My only advice would be try using other produced beats rather then mainly mart85.Dont get me wrong his beats are nice and the tracks work but your sounds getting a little repetetive and the beats are very eminem sounding  :sweating:

but good job man my fav was demolition time :worship:

yeah I get what you mean, and anyways, you rarely hear a full album with beats from only one guy these days, it's normal to get a few beatmakers to have different sound  but other tracks that I produced have completely different beats, it's just that in that advance, maybe the beats sound similar, I don't know

well i aint gonni stop using beats coz there by the same guy, if i slapped different producers names on them then no one would even notice or take the time to point it out, as for sounding the same..im guessing that is down to opinion coz to me the you dont know , here to stay, living the life beats are an original sound i dont notice any eminem-ish feel or nothing to them, as for life is a fight and demolision time, i notice there the same type of beat, but that style is basically my safety zone right now, and imma stick in it till i master it, while also goin out of that style (living the life, you cant blame me, here to stay ect.) but on the level im at working with mart is like a signed artist working with dre or premier, i dont think i can complain of having to many greatly produced tracks on the tape

anywae thanx for checking man and i appreciate the feed :worship:

but what you mean by corny ? :sweating:

thanks bar

but about the corny parts, if he means about "here to stay", there's definately a little part/riff in the beat that I think is corny too, but I just love it lol... don't know if it's the same that he's talking about, but I thought it was funny to have that in the beat, it's not a serious track or something...

no if you would have changed the producers name i WOULD have noticed.Anyone with a trained ear can notice marts beats a mile off...im not saying its a bad thing btw because you can pretty much recognise a dr dre beat from a mile, its just hearing there beats so much you instant recognise.

As for corny i wasnt talking in terms of beat more about lyrics and concepts.Just lines like 'lifes hard yada yada yada' just the way you precede them is a little corny...i think clarky mentioned something similar about a track being 'cheesy'.

Its just the message of your songs are sometimes rather TOO obvious its good to try making the message more complex using metaphors or smilies and make the listener have to search and take comparisons from own experiences to fully understand ya message.I know this is a compex way of writing material and you mentioned your sticking to ya comfort zone atm just dont get complacent.

well again with the beats, i dunno what changes when all the beats ( to me and mostly other people who listen ) are great..and they are varied..to me anywae, guessing its just down to taste but the problems and stuff you point seem totally irrelevent to me :sweating: i dunno maybe other people think otherwise but sont say so, and i think clarky only sayed here to stay was corny :sweating:

but with the messages, i agree witcha, im keeping it simple right now just coz its a learning period for me, i still aint near the level i want to be at witch got shown becasue the 3 new tracks on the advance i doubted getting good feed when i was talking to mart when i got final mixes, after i heard them i decided to stop writing coz i felt i was slipping badly and i stopped writing and just took a break and worked on some stuff then only started picking back up yesterday, but the tracks got better feedback than expected witch means im criticising what i do alot more witch is good i suppose :sweating: but as i get better with the basics of flowing/delivery and ryhming i can assure i havent scraped any sbjects or concepts i wanne go into yet :D

Alright here's your feed

Demolition Time:
Sajjad's a fuckin prick so i'm not gonna bother saying anything about him
Already heard this, your hook is hot Bar and the verses flow well.

You Don't Know:
The hook's great i think, though it seems to be a bit confusing
It's not bad it just dosen't really explain the song as well as the verses
The verses flow great, the layovers are done well and the beat's fire, Mart85 i assume?

You Can't Blame Me:
Already fed this. Definately one of your best.
Props to DC, the beat's sick.

Living The Life:
Dunno if i ever fed this but i also have heard it before.
I like that beat.
One of your best hooks, DEFINATELY.
The verses are great too, i don't hear you flowing fast much.
Who's the second guy? Cause he flows just as good if not better than you.

Here To Stay:
Bar you flow great on the verse, don't ever fall off.
Hook's pretty good
ASP's part is amazing, nuff said
Beat's good, who made it?
Oh and i dont think it sounds corny

Life Is A Fight:
This beat is great.
Mart's a great beatmaker, definately.
Once again a solid flow from you Bar :worship:
SK's flow is great too, but is it me or is he not rapping in English?

Overall Bar it's sick, simple as. Can't wait for your next tape
