Emcee Zu - Wolf Drawn

I know it's been awhile since I posted a song, but, I guess I'm back to posting songs again.

Emcee Zu - Wolf Drawn

I used to be bruised... now my soul’s intact
The sole’s on my shoes limp past the floor encrusted
With memories of my past, cold and ruptured
My mood black and white like a signed broken back
I gave her my heart, and got it broken back
They say home is where the heart is... well then...
She must’ve been homeless ‘cause she’s heartless
I tried to bridge the gap, she ended up sleeping underneath it
With our relationship in the deep end
It all happened over one weekend, left me weakened
Emotionally, I seem to be stuck in the heat and
Trusting people that are unreliable to call
When you need them makes you only more liable to fall
Reliable comes from the heart, not just eyeing it
She tried to lie to me... But I’m not buying it
The saying selling sand to an Arab doesn’t apply to me
No, not to this...

Well, your quality has definitely improved, I remember hearing a verse from you that had this annoying noise in the background. Now it's fine though, only thing bad about the quality was the volume of the vocals, it was a bit lower than the beat and some of the words were hard to understand/not understandable at all.

Your flow was nice, but it was getting choppy from time to time. Maybe you did it on purpose, but it doesn't sound good, I think. The delivery is also nice, but needs improving. You sound... I don't know... shy or something? Like you're not comfortable in front of the mic. Work on that.

And the influence of the British rap you listen to is really obvious, the way you pronounce some of the words, especially the ones that have "r" in them.

Practice makes perfect, I guess?

Fuck. It was a mission to download this. But props on it being a wav anyways.

That was dope man. I'm really liking the way you rode the beat. Your delivery was emotional, so good job on that. I read the lyrics at first, not realizing how well they are written to the beat, good shit. Only thing I can say to help you improve is work on adding overlays to help piece your vocals together better. I feel I need to mix this shit. But I feel you need to record your overlays and this will sound much better. Overall it was a dope verse though man. Nice one. :y:

Thanks for the in-depth feed, dR3, appreciate it. Practice definitely makes perfect, as far as one can become perfect, lol.

Thanks for making that mission possible, lol. Thanks for the feed, man, appreciate it. I've yet to learn how to do overlays, but I'll figure it out. Thanks X.

The mixing wasnt that good, between the beat and the vocals, sounded like you vocals were just on top of the beat rather than mixed in. I like the structure and rhyme schemes, and you lyrics were pretty meaningful. Actually just going back and reading em they were sick, good shit, Delivery wise it was decent but you enunciation needed a little work, it was hard to understand at some points.

All in all it was average imo, if your quality was better along with enunciation I think it would have been a whole lot better. Would like to hear a full song from you. :y: and if you get a chance could ya check out some of my stuff, curious for some feedback. :smoking:

Keep at it hommie. :y:

this is actually pretty poetic.

i think with some strong adlibs factored inn, and just a little refinement with the delivery and you got something really hot here

your voice is fairly unique

keep it movin homie

hollar back folks, some newer shit!

man. I dont knwo whats up with usershare...

like sajjad said "Fuck. It was a mission to download this"... at half of the song playing I suddenly got redirected to a youtube video that said Hank something... then the next time I opened it froze my computer, took me a fucking while to get it back to normal... until my third try I could finally enjot it.

And well, it was really good... you need to fix your mixing cuz your vocals sound too low, and kinda Far. so watch out for the effects u use. The lyrics were great, but it seems like your main focus was to be lyrically impressive... thats not good at this stage... you need to shine on delivery first, need to be more fierce!!... u know?

but man, I like the rhytm. and the overall mood of it. :y: :y:

Thanks for the feed everybody! Really appreciate it! I guess I have to work on my mixing and how I project my vocals, I'm gonna work on that. Hopefully my delivery will sound better with some better mixing. Again, thanks for the indepth feed guys!
