Since I can't afford to have anybody steal these beats, i have to stream them on myspace and soundclick because the myspace upload crapped out on me.

"I Promise" is on my Myspace

It may be just me, but your main melody's don't go with the background melody. It kinda throws me off.

I like the concept of the prince beat though. Need to break off from the organ a bit though. And have more hitting drums, you bass is tight but, the snare needs to be risen.

I love the like lazer shot things though threw me off at first but sounded tight.

the melody may sound off but that's how it was supposed to go. the background melody that you hear is basicly that louder one with more notes.

and on the prince. the organ is the main melody itself. if i took that out then the whole thing would go from it's dark feel to something i didnt want. but your right about the drums. so i changed them and i made the snares louder.

either way. thanx for the feed. it was greatly appreciated. :p

I agree with him.... first the drums need to be a lot louder  not just the snare, the kick too... it's really important if you want your beats to sound more hip hop

and about the melodies in the background, they might not be litterally off, but I think some notes don't go very well with the main melodies, that's why it sounds like they're not supporting them very well :sweating:

and that organ gets a bit repetitive, but if you have louder drums, it won't sound as repetitive I think... but maybe getting rid of it, or changing the melody for a few bars, once in a while, would help  but when there's a rapper on a beat, it doesn't sound repetitve anymore lol... anyways

just keep practising, you'll get better after every beats you make
