I was just thinking,

When I first came in here and requested feed for a verse, McMaybe scrutinized me and said something like this "I'm tired of people who think just cause they have a mic, they can rap" Honestly, i couldn't agree more now, and i'm not saying no you shouldn't rap or make beat or whatever the fuck you do.. but if your not gonna work to improve then don't fuckin try.

for once, Kojack or whoever is using his account said something smart.. he way saying that people here just go up to people and say Good Job or nice work, or give them this even when the track isn't even that great, or better yet, how about we give them criticism.. don't get me wrong, i've done this myself plenty of times.. but people now a days here, work half-ass on some track like 5 min to work on verses and then take like 3 takes for the whole song and post it here and hope to get good reviews? why so they can get their self esteem higher.

and i'm sick and tired of people who are not working on their shit.. i'm looking at the fuckin creative writing, and i see some guy named Koatic or some shit post 3 different verses and i'm looking at them and i see no signs of improvement and no different styles, nothing was different..

I was workin on a collab with James R. yesterday and I was writing my verse, and it took me 1 and a half hrs, then i got someone here from tr and ask them how long they took on their verses they said 10 min. now maybe their that much better than me, but even if they are, 10 minutes is not enough time to create a good verse, unless ur some amazing rapper that we don't know about..

if you just want claps on every time you do something decent then you know what have fun doing that. and now when I go ahead and look at people's verses or shit, i'ma tell them what's wrong so they can work on it, not that's it good so they can just go again do the same mistakes over again.. like when I said on a track that people need to work on their ability to control their accents, people were saying, an accent is an accent, you can't work on it.. stop being fuckin stupid, yes you can.. I'm not saying completely lose that accent, but make it so it sounds nice...

are fucked up, especially when the track itself had so many mistakes that you could tell them about to fix... if your going to be heartbroken that someone told you to fix something, then I don't know what to say, oh maybe grow some balls and deal with it? then come back the next track and prove that you are workin on it and u impove?

and i agree on the point where you see people spending only 10 minutes on a verse for a track, that pisses me off too
i'll admit i used to do that but then i wanted to improve, started doing more takes and trying to step up my game, a verse i posted today i spent probably about over an hour on it

idk i wouldn't really take anything seriously on here cause this is just a eminem forum, not a rap forum, if you want good crit. go to a real rap forum, that's my point of view

yeah the reviews are a bit fucked up, but I've seen that some people do say stuff like "the vocals should be louder/quieter", or "the flows off there".

As for the accents thing you mentioned, I think it'd be hard to work on an accent if it's real thick.

steve finished before me, I agree with what he said about improving and taking more... takes and spending more time on your craft.

Well that's MCMaybe. He has the high respect and skill neccessary to say these things. He scrutinized me when i started.

So, who are these "people" you're referring to? Cause i spend ages on my tracks, and i don't know anybody else who is like you've suggested. If someone made a track to that specification, you'd be able to tell by how shit it was, and then you would tell them it was shit. You "true feeders" are just as guilty as the generous ones; many of you just say "that's crap stop rapping you can't rap" and that's it, move on.

Some people write verses faster than others. Everyone's different.

Stop bringing that up. Sure you can control an accent but your accent is part of who you are. Like Randomghost is unique cause he's the only guy on here who sounds like he does. You chose to control your accent, fine! That's your choice.

Again, this is a valid point, but i still am forced to ask: who is it you're referring to in this post?
You know, the funny thing is that the only people i see leaving feed like you've suggested are...well, i don't wanna name them. But suffice to say they are people who come into the Audio Stage just to feed these select few people.

Yeah, i've given tracks 10/10 before. But that's because i enjoyed the track. And that's really the most important thing in a track. If there's a flaw i will point it out, just like pretty much all feed (except the bolded example above) i see. Is that not what you're asking people to do with this thread?

Also, why the fuck would you listen to Kojack/Coccoa (as we can all tell he's using Kojack's account)?

yeah good point... and I agree about the 10 minutes part... I mean, once in a while, you can find good ideas in 10 minutes, like you're suddenly inspired and that's fine... but it pisses me off when I see people bragging and saying: "here's a beat I made in 20 minutes" (I've never seen this here tho, I'm talking about forums in general)... the thing is, if you only spend 10-15-20 minutes on a beat (I can't really talk for lyrics cause I never really tried, but I guess it's kinda similar) it's because you're only repeating things/patterns/tricks that you tried in previous work, or you're unintentionally "copying" another track that you heard, and there are 99% chance that it's just not creative... no matter how great it sounds... and if what you did in 10-15-20 minutes is creative, then use it and just take it to the next step instead of being lazy lol

its the same thing everywhere tash thats why i stop going to some forums now. people need to give honest feed and i assume most of us want honest feed, well i cant account for anyone else but i give honest feed everytime i give feed, and if you dont then your hurting the artist because they think the things theyre doing are correct when they arent. to reiterate (sp?) what u said tash, people on the net dont give good feed cuz they either dont know how or truly dont care and write whatever they want.
