HOW on earth with a quality microphone you produce such awful sound in your vocals?

This is very unfortunate, because I can hear a good flow and voice, but I can't make out what you're saying on most of it.
That sucks because it's clearly not your fault, you just don't have the proper studio equipment.
I hope to hear something in the future that's mixed better, so I can hear what you have to say.

I could hear it okay, but I do agree the vocals are shitty. I dunno how I can make it better though, record in the closet? I wasn't using a pop filter, but I do have one now :y:

first off...your too far away from the mic
2nd off...your recording in too big of a space...you catching too much reverb...
3rd off its impossible to mix shit vocals..so even tho tash is one of the best here..even he can't save shit.....your gonna have to fix that shit....

15-20 cm from the microphone with pop filter will go the trick, move your microphone to a corner of your room, record there, to get rid most of the room's reverb. You'll be fine. Now let me check the vocals.

EDIT:

1) Can you possibly explain me why your acapella is at 70db at most?

^yes....try to confine your space to small "dry" places...small walk in closets with clothes covering the walls would do the job.....what kind of equipment do you use?......is it like a dynamic mic?...a condensor?.....or like a regular desktop mic?

Pad the room you record in by hanging up blankets or something. That will stop the sound waves from bouncing off the hard surfaces and reverberating.
And use a ribbon mic if at all possible.

Another question......why you have so much noise in your microphone?
There are missing frequencies in your recording......it sounds like underwated speaking. As if someone removed all the bass

not sure, this picture I took is pretty much how I was recording maybe a bit closer to the mic though. Now I can see what I need to improve on.
