Is that considered good? Im pretty sure that is lowest sales shady artist has had..

obie, 50 all did better.

Wondering how SH will compare.

I dont think it really matters... idk if shady would ever drop a artist for sales on top of that its partly there fault if you ask me.

As long as music is good i could care less i would be happy if he got more exposure though.

His first album sold 60k with a lot of touring and stuff.
Radioactive did twice as much with no promotion and a shitty Em feature, Interscope didn't promote Let's Roll good enough and they are stupid for not putting Radio as a single as well.

Radioactive flopped hard, it would have been considered ground breaking if he was underground (no pun intended) but he's signed to the same label that made D12 go double platinum twice, same label that made Obie Trice go platinum, same label that made 50 go diamond.

Slaughterhouse will sell better, but they will not do good numbers.
Shady Records is just a big fail, their A&Rs and management is probably the laziest and most opportunistic people on earth. I won't be surprised if they were the same "yes men" Em was talking about in Going Through Changes.

Jim Jones was the reason Yela got signed....Royce was the reason Slaughterhouse got signed.
What did Shady's management do? They were behind Cashis, Creekwater and Status Que signings, they clearly know nothing about business and depend on Em's albums to make a living.

I wonder how long shady would last if em stopped making albums...

95% of labels income gone

edit: how did obie sell so well? Or did obie and 50 well known enough to not need promotion to sell.

With that said, everything he did was on the news....Everyone he co-signed got bigger, he didn't even need to try.
People, excuse me...Stans used to do literally everything he did, and if he likes something, they force themselves into liking it. I haven't lived that hype, but i've read a lot....It was really crazy.

So hes not big any more? Pretty sure he has best selling album of 2010-2012 and he will likely be besting selling artists of 2010-2020 if he keeps doing an album ever 2 years.

I think its just media is not following his everymove his fanbase is still as large and full of stans...

Media no longer follows him neither does he give them the chance to.

He's pretty much either in the studio or his home...He used to do prank calls, answer fans' questions, go out and have fun in public...But he doesn't do that shit anymore. It's pretty much music, he gives his management the CD and they setup radio/TV interviews, performances and festivals....etc

Shady needs to get with times...

They prob still think its 2000's where if they are signed by em they sell just for that alone.

Hate to say it but... well some people need to be let go (even though times are hard)

It's not fair to compare record sales in 2012 with record sales in 2002.

Or to compare Eminem's clout in 2012 compared with Eminem's clout in 2002.

He is still big, but he don't do it enough anymore. He had like 3 songs on Obies album, produced over half of the album etc.
With Yela it was just one song, and no more promotion
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

Those numbers arent bad for a small artist, those are the numbers labels expected Nirvana to pull with Nevermind, and is still profitable for the label. Stop acting like every artist signed to a major label needs to go platinum or even gold, its a common misconception but not true at all.

Also no, Em is not nearly as big as he was back then.
