well to be honest i wasnt into hip hop around then because i was only 7-8 years old but they were not as popular. most everybody only knows bobby creekwater, stat quo and cashis because they were signed to shady. both yelawolf and slaughterhouse had a real solid following before they were signed and theyre only getting bigger.
