1. The Slaughter (Intro)
- 10/10
How I feel about the song: Straight from Eminem; perfect way to open this Shady debut.
2. Our House feat. Eminem & Skylar Grey
- 8.5/10
How I feel about the song: I wish we could trade the double hook/bridge for a Budden verse.. Skylar, Em and Budden create that emotion with the bridge/hook though.
3. Coffin feat. Busta Rhymes
- 7/10
How I feel about the song: I really enjoy this BUT.. why bring Bussa Buss without a verse though?? What happened here.. little overproduced for me..
4. Throw That feat. Eminem
7/10
How I feel about the song: This beat is just awesome..Their flows are all on point. Obviously heavily influenced by Eminem. One of my favourites though because it shows personality.
5. Hammer Dance
- 9.5/10
How I feel about the song: This is by far one of the best Slaughterhouse songs out there.. Yeah it’s not introspective or deep.. IDGAF it’s DOPE.
6. Get Up
9.9/10
How I feel about the song: .. I really wish they would of enlisted the help of No I.D. more.. this song is a perfect song of how our House Gang CAN make GREAT songs.. WHY did they not choose this as a radio single??
7. My Life feat. Cee-Lo Green
9/10
How I feel about the song: This is not a sell-out song.. Cee-Lo has BEEN in the game.. Dungeon Families, Goodie Mob.. Mainstream my ass.. the sample is awesome.. I have listened to this song more than any other on this album; it’s a TRUE banger for riding, working out.. universal.
8. We Did It (Skit)
10/10
How I feel about the song: So glad Eminem added skits.
9. Flip A Bird
7/10
How I feel about the song: Honestly, this song is really smooth.. one of the best beats and showcases their ability to switch flows.. but I can see it getting annoying in the future.
10. Throw It Away feat. Swizz Beatz
0.5/10
How I feel about the song: Gave this 2 full listens.. more than enough chances..
11. Rescue Me feat. Skylar Grey
8/10
How I feel about the song: The beat is DOPE.. the content is there.. BUT WHY AM I BEING FORCED TO LISTEN TO SKYLAR GREY!?
12. Frat House
7 /10
How I feel about the song: The concept and delivery on this song is awesome... dope banger but it really is OVER produced..
13. Goodbye
- 10/10
How I feel about the song: This song hits home in every way.. I feel like you can genuinely connect to them in each bar.. their flow, tones, and delivery just force you to see things through their eyes.. incredible song and is probably the best Slaughterhouse has ever made.
14. Park It Sideways
6.5/10
How I feel about the song: I understand.. I just don’t care for how it sounds.
15. Die
7 /10
How I feel about the song: Honestly.. I get a few singer hooks.. but WHY ALL OVER THE ALBUM!? At this point I was annoyed by it.. the verses outweigh the singer coming (which just seems so inappropriate and unnecessary as we saw on Recovery)
Joe Budden delivers one of the BEST verses on the album here; my opinion.
16. Our Way (Outro)
7.5/10
How I feel about the song: The beat is nice.. Royce saves face on this song; I had him pegged as the weakest link on the album at this point. (he’s a personal favourite)
17. Asylum feat. Eminem
10/10
How I feel about the song: I really don’t care what anyone says.. I could listen to an album of beats like this, PERFECT example of how all that shiney mainstream production is unnecessary. Reminded me of a song that could be on Relapse (which I enjoyed and the production was top notch; IMO)
I see a lot of people bashing this but this is SO reminiscent of old Eminem; SIDEBAR: EMINEM SHOWS HE STILL HAS A NORMAL VOICE.. that alone gets me pumped to see what he does for his next LP
Second best song on the album
18. Walk Of Shame
7/10
How I feel about the song: Overproduction will get annoying after a few listens but it BANGS right now.
19. The Other Side
5/10
How I feel about the song: At this point I am so annoyed with the singer hooks I can’t even enjoy the whole song.. Damn Eminem for this.. and let’s not pretend.. it’s Em’s doing with all these singer hooks.
20. Place To Be feat. B.O.B.
6.5/10
How I feel about the song: The F is this beat. This is okay.. whatever tired of the singing.. BOB’s verse is a nice swap.. WHY COULDN’T WE GET RAP FEATURES INSTEAD OF BULLSHIT SINGING HOOKS ALL OVER THE ALBUM!?!?
Listen.. don’t get me wrong I see a place for the overproduced tracks and singer hooks.. but DUDE.. ROYCE DOES A GREAT HOOK so does Crooked I.. WTF.. I got so frustrated but.. that’s me overall this Album is dope.. But falls below their self-title LP & EP; On the house.
Still gonna buy 4 for hip hop
