Top 10 Welcome To Our House Verses (Slaughterhouse)

Postby tadpole25 » Nov 25th, '12, 21:11

10
I'm not sure. So many verses were considered

9 - Frat House (Crooked I)
The first and only time I stopped the album completely to laugh hysterically.
"Getting oral from a Maury sex decoy" LMAO

8 - Get Up (Royce da 59)
A lesson to rappers that you need a 1000 multi's to have a good verse, but just a verse that fits in perfectly to the beat.

7 - Hammer Dance (Joell Ortiz)
He painted it really vivid because he lived it. His flow goes well with the beat also.

6 - Our House (Eminem)
His only full verse on the album, a great evolution to his flow. More versatile, complex, but seemingly effortless and natural, rather than forced.

5 - Die (Joe Budden)
A great return to the kind of abrasive mood and atmosphere of Ortiz in Sound Off.

4, 3, 2 - All three verses of Goodbye
Best song on the album, all genuine and heartfelt verses, without leaving behind any lyricism

1 - The Other Side (Royce da 59)
Honest and introspective, wise and meaningful, well delivered
"I take yall diss as endearment - I love it when I hear it
Maybe words offensive - free speech I don't fear it
Maybe music can take us to a place so atmospheric
Beyond our greatest imagination, illuminatin' experience
If we open our ears and close our inhibitions, it's clear"

Joey's verse was clearly the best on "The Other Side" yet it's not on your list. L.

Joe on 'Die' 'Goodbye' 'The other side' 'Rescue Me' 'Frat House' are the best 5 on the album respectively,Royce was shit through out,Crooked tried to be un-crooked and Joell is at times too sloppy,he did have a couple great cuts though.

Good point. All three did amazing on The Other Side.

Budden especially. I need to change my list.

Joe deserves more.. He was th best on rescue me for sure, arguably the best on die, and IMO the best on get up. Then again I don't like any slaughterhouse member except for him.

10. Joe Budden ~ Goodbye
= Heartfelt verse, not forsaking lyricism and rhymes. Moving.

9. Joell Ortiz ~ Coffin
= He rhymed coughing. Enough said.

8. Crooked I ~ Place To Be
= Starts out the song strong with incredible multis. Loved his charisma on this one.

7. Joell Ortiz ~ The Other Side
= Touching and angry. Loved his flow and delivery. Great verse on a great song.

6. Crooked I ~ Frat House
= Fucking funny as hell. Great rhymes and chemistry with the others/beat.

5. Eminem ~ Our House
= Finally an Em verse! Painted us a vivid picture of his mind recently. "If eyes are the window to the soul then it's broken glass and there's no trespassing..."

4. Royce da 5'9" ~ The Other Side
= Great way to start off the song; Royce murders the beat with a lovely flow and rhymes while keeping a strong message. Another great verse on a great song.

3. Crooked I ~ Rescue Me
= My shirt is leaking just from listening to this verse (and song)... Fuckin' intense. Sure as hell ain't fucking weak.

2. Crooked I ~ Get Up
= Bodied. The. Fucking. Beat... This dude, I swear... fucking incredible. No words can describe this verse other than amazing and well-done. Okay, so 3 words.

1. Royce da 5'9" ~ Rescue Me
= This verse, I keep replaying it over and over. The way the fucking beat comes in and he spits
" I was losing my mind like I was tryna lose it,
Using my time for using, abusing my grind..."
Great multis and aura here. I love it.

Great album, too many damn verses to rate, but those are my top ten.
