Viewing it from his perspective, I get why this would kind of freak him out. He's familiar with the rock world though, and maybe that influences his reaction. His spirituality might have something to do with it, but I think it has more to do with how he feels it reflects upon the genre. He talks down on the actual satanism a bit, but it has more to do with how he feels that rappers are making something that is detrimental to people (not necessarily on a religious note, but more about the attitude that comes with it) a symbol of power or fashion...I still think his upbringing is playing into it though.

Honestly, it really is a trend. It's not about the Illuminati or Freemasons, it's about getting people talking. Hip Hop now has an obsession with this shit, so rappers know that they can get people talking by putting things like that in their videos. It's almost a status symbol now to have some idiot on YouTube trying to convince everyone that you've sold your soul to the devil. After all, if you weren't successful, would anyone believe it?

He's intoxicated though, you can hear it in his voice. Anyone else wonder why the video uploader said "Yelawolf GOES IN on Black Rappers..." specifically though? Kind of a strange racial twist there.

Well, even without the supernatural aspect of it, strictly assuming we're talking about it from the viewpoint of an athiest, some of the practices and lifestyles associated with that type of belief system raise some concerns. He spoke about the animal sacrifices and things of that nature.

Of course, you'll find things like that in the Old Testament too. The Hebrew god loved him some animal sacrifices...and foreskin removal...we should probably keep shit like that out of hip hop too, now that I think about it.

I'm also worried the over-drinking doesn't affect his new album. In the pics that WillPower posts on Facebook of the recording sessions, Yela seems to have a Coors Light in his hands at all times. He could be making his version of Encore and he doesn't even know it.
I doubt that will be so, but if his verse on Rittz's "Heaven" track is something he recorded while he was very drunk... then the future looks dim...
