Catfish Billy Question

There are a few people saying that it's from the movie, "Where the Red Fern Grows". The main character of that movie is named Billy, and he's running around in the Ozarks, so it's definitely some hillbilly shit. Can't find a definite answer though.

Well, the book and the movie are different in a few small ways.

I'm looking at some clips now, we'll see what I find.

EDIT:

The clip isn't from the part of the movie that some people online said it would be. There's another part of the story that it might be from, but I'm getting kind of bored so I'm going to go ahead and kill myself instead of looking for it.

I remember watching that movie so much in Oklahoma in school

Nope, the main character is a only child, nobody is named jack, and it's not the brothers that are his rival's
