Just as with most retail products (incl. internet stores, such as iTunes etc...), sales are significantly stronger during quarter 4 (peaking in November/December). The hoiliday season is actually more imortant now to the music industry compared to what it was for 5-10 years ago.

Theres still an audience that realizes the satisfaction that comes with CDs + the value they have in that they arent lost if your comp gets fucked up. Of course I still download some older albums, but if you buy a new CD you love it and then 10 years later that CD is still recognized as a classic, your gonna love that CD to death.
