I've noticed how no one has actually argued against me... So you can't deny that both "Hard White" and "Let's Roll" are party songs with dumbed down lyrics and synthy beats that could have been released by your everyday garbage mainstream rapper?

If this is any indication of how his album is gonna be like, then please tell me how he is that "breath of fresh air" you all claim him to be.

Oh, I almost forgot... the Eminem feature is supposed to be a club banger too :y:

Can you please tell me where I said that "Let's Roll" is a song that you're supposed to hear in a club?

I said it's a party song, and with a hook that repeatedly says "let's rooooooooooooooll", there's really not a question about that.

I do not deny that. But I would argue that Hard Whites lyrics are not dumbed down at all, and with a different chorus it would be a brilliant pump up song. Its weird, hes saying "up in the club" during the chorus while in verses hes saying "you all done broke me down so many times before I'm no longer rappin I'm building"/ "after me there will only be wannabes and mostly aint never gonna bes".

I think Radioactive will be a breath of fresh air judging from Gutter not the singles. I think Yelas just doing pop shit for singles trying to get attention, unfortunately it also hurts his reputation.

Is it even top 1000 on ITunes? :coffee:

Need some promo from Em
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

So you're admitting that they go hand in hand?

You lose.

Lol what? So you're admitting that neither of these songs is in any way innovative and they're both more or less garbage mainstream songs with poppy beats and generic hooks?

You lose.

See what I did there? It's so easy to argue when you act this close-minded. Wait, I'll even post a facepalm smiley to underline my victory :facepalm

Well, first of all he said that a club banger and a party song are par for par the same thing.
They are the same category, but a song like f.e. Travie McCoy's "We'll Be Alright" is a party song imo, but it's not a club banger. A party song for me, is simply a feel-good tune that you can play at a homeparty and vibe to, but it doesn't necessarily have a heavy, poppy beat. You wouldn't hear it in a club on the dancefloor. Maybe that's different here in Europe, but all I ever get to hear in clubs is the same electro trash that hasn't changed since the 90's.

And yes, I constantly hate on Yelawolf. But since most of you on here keep sucking the shit out of his dick, I keep on checking out new music to see if he won't disappoint me this time.
The people defending him claim that I just don't like him 'cause he's going with a different style and doing new things. Well, from what I've heard from his album, he isn't. ;)

Oh, is that so? Because I could've sworn that Yelawolf is one of the most original rappers out right now.
What is it about him that's so unoriginal? His flow? His lyrics? His beats?

I'm assuming the songs from his album you're referring to are Hard White & Let's Roll.

Hard White literally sounds like nothing any club would play. Just because the chorus says "up in the club" doesn't mean it's a club song.
Let's Roll is a bit more mainstream, I'll give you that. Still isn't a party song.

J. Cole (who I'm still a big fan of) had like 5 fucking songs on his album that could be considered party/club songs. I don't see you hating on him though.

This is an argument you can't win. Yelawolf is innovative whether you like it or not.
Either accept it or stop posting in this and other Yela threads. ;)
