There's no point in signing an established artist such as T.I. the way I see it. He is already doing his thing and making lots of money so unless they feel they can make him an even better artist, it is absolutely pointless from an artistical point of view. Slaughterhouse was important for Shady Records' reputation after years of having signed and shelved mediocre artists.

Jon Connor would be an amazing artist to get on board. Not only is he one of the most interesting upcoming rappers right now but he also doesn't seem to get the recognition in the underground he deserves. He actually recently mentioned Eminem and MMLP as some of his influences when he grew up.

The most important thing for them now is to get the Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse albums out so they can regain some credibility. After that, they should think about getting more artists signed.

I think Hopsin would be a good choice from what I have heard of him.

Redman, Pharoahe Monch and Hopsin.

Redman said he'd happily jump onto Shady Records, he put that out there. So just doesn't make sense that Em hasn't shouted back or commented on it. Redman would fit perfectly on Shady due to the fact Em is so influenced by him, with the imagery and his ideas etc. so it would just come full-circle and work perfect.

With Pharoahe Monch, Em said he was dope way back in 99, and apparently he was involved in a 'bidding war' to sign him in 2007 when he was a free agent. Clearly, he didn't get him... so, I dunno if Pharoahe Monch wants to just stay more independent or what. But he'd fit lovely on Shady also.

As for Hopsin, I think that speaks for itself. He's a massive Em-clone, which isn't an insult, as he still sounds unique and has his own style, and he's already a fairly brilliant lyricist, rapper and producer. But just imagine with the tutoring of Em and budget of Shady...

Also since DMX is out he should sing him. Might resurrect the guys career. But, only if he's clean. No one wants to fuck with a crack head.

Hopefully he remembers what it's like 2 pay ur do's and dont's, and he helps out struggling artists who work their asses off everyday at regular jobs, and still manage 2 keep the dream alive. This worlds got alot 2 critique and write about. Hope is all you've got when the ice starts 2 crack from under u.
