Their subject-matter seems to be similarly limited though.

Checked 'em both... they're very lyrical, and great rappers; even those songs though... they seem to make pretty literal songs. The way they rap is creative, but the songs aren't.

Interested in hearing more though if you know of any like, left-field / conceptual songs by 'em.

How about funk volume (Hopsin, Dizzy, Swizzz,) vs Slaughterhouse Vs Black Happy Vs Horseshoe Gang?

You funk volume list is short and they aren't even a group, just a label. If we compare a groups best songs to another (assuming these are Horseshoe Gangs's best) they are out. Slaughterhouse put out and shit debut and Blak Hippy hasn't dropped an album yet, just songs here there (about 15+). So, no point.
