Shady Records not the best anymore?

Everything related to the record label Shady Records, including Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf.

Worrd. Pretty much every mixtape/album from Yela has a different feel. If only Radioactive was marketed properly.

He better be on Eminem's next album or I lose all hope.

There's that word "relevant" again. What the fuck does that word even mean anymore?

What does it mean to be relevant? Relevant to what? If something is or isn't relevant, it's in relation to something else. Furthermore, why is it important to be relevant? Who gives a shit? It's a weasel word used by idiots (in the context of rap music).

If you mean "popular," say "popular." If you mean "financially stable," say "financially stable." If you simply mean that they're not talked about or taken seriously by rap fans, and the Young Money record label is, then that's a GOOD thing given that rap fans are dumber than a bag of hammers.

LOL. Got a little bit of that Maddox style bite to your writing, love it.

Anyways, yeah.. Shady Records just isn't relevant anymore.

Shady Records is owned by the worlds biggest rapper yet it's pretty much an underground label.

Well super-dope-lyricist style rap doesn't sell well on the radio stations. Teenage girls aren't diggin' it unless it's Em.

And that's what Shady Records is meant to be, a place for the hard hitting bar spitters. It makes sense, and unless the fans will allow the artists to compromise slightly (Radioactive) they won't sell well. I think Radioactive woulda sold well if promoted better. But that's Interscope for you.

What pisses me off is that Radioactive had the potential to sell well, but it was marketed so terribly. Hopefully Yela will have a spot on Em's album mabye giving him a bit more exposure.

New rappers these days get big by collabing with other big artists..
drake for example before he even dropped his album

"I'm Goin' In"
(featuring Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy)

"Off That"[F]
(Jay-Z featuring Drake)

"Digital Girl" (Remix)
(Jamie Foxx featuring Drake, Kanye West & The-Dream

"Money to Blow"
(Birdman featuring Drake and Lil Wayne)

"Fed Up"[A]
(DJ Khaled featuring Usher, Drake, Young Jeezy and Rick Ross)

"Forever"
(featuring Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem)

"Successful"
(featuring Trey Songz and Lil Wayne)

I could be wrong.. just did a quick search.. but these are all collabs with big artists before he even dropped his debut ablum...
shady records needs to do this... to help with promoting their artists. it seems to work.

Word. ^ I've always said this. SH has already done songs with Eminem on Recovery and the EP. Yela should have gotten such a opportunity, at least a song for the fuck of it. I know Shady2.0 exist, but that's nothing. They should have done a solo track, a non-album track I might add. Or maybe do collab with the biggest names in the game. He's kinda doing that now. Hope that helps.
