RUMOR: Shady Records Looking to Sign Logic

Earlier this year, I came down pretty hard on a kid named Young Sinatra! Well, he did a song where he sounded JUST like Drake and it was a big thumbs down. But, after listening to a bit more of of his music, he’s pretty darn talented. Well, rappers of a lighter shade are all the rage now. Eminem seems like he’s got favor with White America. Yelawolf seems to be working out OK in the underworld. But, I think Em and crew are looking for another face to represent Shady 2.0 and that’s Logic. Its heavily rumored from my sources that Eminem is looking to sign the dude. And for good reason…he’s lighter content than Yela and Em and that’s what’s poppin’ with the teens and the tweens. Right now, I’m hearing they have Logic in “training” for the bigger picture.

Agree with Geno. I think he's more marketable compared to Yela. I liked the one posted by Hage. Pretty good flow.

WHY THE FUCK are teens and tweens the target audience with music? Why do THEY control what we hear and what is popular? They arent the ones spending hard earned cash on albums. I really dont get it. Why are they the target demographic for popular stuff? I bet if all the media (radio, mtv, commercials, internet, etc) all started playing hardcore rap and metal all the time all that stuff would sell hundreds of thousands as well. It doesnt matter what you put out there, as long as you do. SO WHY does all the same sounding watered down "made-for-teens" music get shoved down our throats?

On the flip side, I’ve heard some grumblings that Yelawolf is not all that happy with his situation at Shady. I hearing that he’s not very happy that he’s sort of on the sidelines. Publicly this has been mostly directed to Interscope, but there’s also a bit of perturbness to Eminem. Not sure what is being expected of him, but I think people, Yela included, thought Eminem meant a slam dunk into the commercial world. Didn’t happen. Yela has a new project coming out. We’ll support it, because he’s dope. Hopefully, everybody else will too.

I checked out the link and thought this part of the rumour to be a lot more interesting.
Kind of upset me when I read it . Hope it's just a rumour. On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if it was true (the part with Eminem, we know Yela isn't happy with Interscope).

He's alright. He can rap, he's just kinda generic. He's no Yela.

Em has a real artist on his hands with Yelawolf, it'd be crazy to waste him and not make some legendary music with him. Sigh, such a shame that Em seems to be getting watered down by the bull. I hope Yela makes it work with Shady, and makes some history.
