For those of you that heard Welcome To Our House like I did

........why wasn't Frat House a single? This song is awesome. I think it's the perfect single.

-Catchy
-Good hook

Not corny, annoying, & lyrical too.

Not to mention this song is 1000x times better than Throw It Away. I think this could of been either the 1st or 3rd single (My Life was a good 2nd single, rags to riches type of record, etc.)

What do you think?

It won't be a single because singles are played on the radio. Imagine it.

The hook would be like this:

I got a house full of ______ , _____ it is, going, down,
I'ma hold my own, yeah..
_____ layin' on the floor like it's a ______ house...
Welcome to the frat house,
_____, _____, _____, _____, ______
I'ma hold my own, yeah..
_____ layin' on the floor like it's a ______ house...
Welcome to the frat house,

Imagine that entire line being blanked on the radio lmao.

I've heard way worst songs, lyrics wise, on the radio before.

Example, Purple Pills. They even couldn't use the original TITLE for the single version, let alone the original lyrics. What does that tell you. They could change lyrics in the chorus to make it radio friendly, for the single.

True, Em or the label could just really ask them to change it, because they feel it could be a good, successful single, but only if the lyrics are slightly altered, for radio purposes, so he could overrule their opinion on that.

Listening to the album this is how the singles should have gone

1st. Hammer Dance
2nd. Rescue Me
3rd. Throw That
4th. Goodbye
5th. Our House (the day of the album its released, just like how Drake released "Take Care" as a single for the album "Take Care")

If Em had less of a choppy flow, "Our House" could have been a single.

I honestly thought the exact same thing earlier and was going to make a thread.

I think "Frat House" should have been the 1st single, a perfect introduction to SH and to the album; it also is a little nod to the title / bit of a concept, and a good song.

With this as the lead single, I think they would have done better.

:y:

Em should have stopped his verse at STAY AT HOME DAD / a better ending without that stupid pause. You have to use your brain too much when listening to it to work out the flow. He's slightly overdoing it, IMO. And please, do your own fucking hooks next album.

'so much passion but no compassion
If eyes are the windows to the soul
Then it's, broken glass and there's no trespassing'

That's nice though.
