Why do a lot of people dislike Coffin?

The verses are good, I don't even have a problem with the chorus. It's the beat. I think it's wack. It's really annoying, I think there's WAY too much going on in it. Like Alex Da Kid just walked in while everyone was out of the room and just started adding shit for the hell of it. The beat is enough to make me say I dislike this song.

People dislike Coffin because the techno during the chorus is awful, and Joell's verse is a nonstop facepalm.

The rest of the song is fine, but not better than anything on, say, the On The House mixtape. Also, the Hitboy / Jay-Z & Hitboy / Kanye West collaborations are 4 million times better.

Royce's lyricism is abysmal lately too, his lines are beyond corny. And where as with Em, he can be corny but the lines still work, lately - Royce tries to be Em-esque but it's so unnatural and the lines often don't even work, he just tries to force it and it sounds awkward.

exactly how ever on "all in my head" on a loose quarter he sounds amazing... i love him on that record with joe... the end of his verse where he says "who never wanted to be this guy" is fuckin awesome.. but yeah i mostly agree with you... on the slaughterhouse album i hated him everytime except for die...
