Christina does actually write her own songs, so I have no problems with her. She was just asked to do that track, it's not as if she jumped on and demanded Skylar to write her something.

Rihanna, Britney Spears, Katy Perry etc. however write hardly any of their songs. And this is what pisses me off. These "artists" don't write, they can't really sing, they can't really dance and they're called pop stars.

I know, that's my point...Like, what do they do? I could be famous. :facepalm

My vocals don't even have to be good, they'll get edited anyway.

Like I said, I love Skylar Grey, I just don't know why people can't write their own stuff lol.

No you couldnt, its like winning a lottery, there are millions who play it and only one wins. You just need to be the lucky one.

yeah I was agreeing with you.

I hate it too. These girls are practically models. They are clearly stars because of their looks and that's it.

That's why someone I adore people like Skylar Grey, Lauryn Hill, Marsha Ambrosious etc. because they are skilled talented songwriters with great voices.

I agree with BILI too....these guys are so lucky.

We have a section for this, called General Music... Moved.

And, a lot of these so called ''artists'' don't write their own material. Especially singers, the majority of singers --that gets popular-- have song writers. It's very common, because they're almost always judged on their vocal ability (not so much anymore these days, though...) and their pressence. It's normal to have ''ghost writers'' in that branch of the music industry, they're just called song writers there instead of ghost writers.

I know what you mean, but technically a singer's job is just to sing. They're not required to write their own stuff. The problem today is most singers can barely sing, so sometimes I wonder how THEY are famous.

The other thing that I don't like is that skyler wrote love the way you lie part 1 & 2 and Rhianna is a on both. I can understand Rhianna being on part one because Eminem or his management wanted her but Skyler wrote part 2 specifically for herself yet when Rhianna heard it she had to have it for herself when she doesn't even need it for her own album since she already had her singles and just wanted the extra publicity for it
