Sublime, anyone?

Sublime is my favorite band. I've been a Sublime fan since around 2002. If you're not familiar with them, and are open to new types of music, check them out. They don't fit neatly into one specific genre; they're a mix of punk rock, reggae, ska, alternative rock and basically all things Southern California.

You may like Sublime if:
You don't mind references to drinking, smoking MJ and the occasional reference to other types of drugs. (You certainly don't have to condone it, but you would need to tolerate it.)
You like other southern California "garage band" style music
You like: Red Hot Chili Peppers, 311, Beastie Boys, Bob Marley
You like bands that incorporate a wide variety of music genres into the same album or even into the same song.

The lead singer of Sublime, Bradley Nowell, died of a heroin overdose in 1996. Sublime is now performing again, with a new lead singer, under the name, "Sublime with Rome."

They're performing again? Hmm.. No one will ever sound like Bradly, though. He had such a unique voice.. That's one of the main reasons I've always liked their music so much.

Anyway, yeah, I love Sublime. I've listened to them since my highschool / skating days. :y: They mix ska and hip hop perfectly.

I'm pretty sure Sublime 'introduced' me to hip hop.

I completely agree about Bradley's voice. Bradley, Eric and Bud made Sublime perfect, but I love Bradley playing solo acoustic just as much.

One of my fav bands without question, the new lead singer sucks though but they were one of the most original bands to ever do it.
