People, I introduce you to the next 'Danza Kuduro'

Postby NextEpisode » Feb 1st, '12, 17:52

I expect this song to have quite an impact on charts this coming spring/summer, especially in Europe. If not, well, it's still a nice party song. :b:

Old?... And basically stopped being played? ... *sigh*

The song has yet to make any impact on some of the most significant markets (US & UK). In some European countries, it's been on the charts since mid/late- December, whilst in some, it has just entered (or not even that). Last week, it was #1 in 7 out of the 7 European countries I checked the charts for. Clubs are just beginning to play this song.

Of course, I can’t speak for how the music industry works in Lebanon, maybe they play a song for a couple of weeks, then it’s considered old, and they stop playing it, but that's not how it works in Europe, US, and Japan (the significant markets when it comes to music).

Where in Europe did they not play this song this past weekend, please tell me ;) These past weekends I've been out, in Sweden, they did not play it. Not because it's old... no, but because it's "too new", it's been in the Top10 for one week here. I expect it will blow up hard as f'ck in the coming weeks.

in france they play this version all day long on the radio

i think it's cool if you like this kind of music and pretty sure we will hear it the next summer here.
I'm out of the matrix and I improved my music taste here, I opened my eyes and discovered so different ways to see the world, thanks to you all!

This song is a big hit here since Cristiano Ronaldo danced it at a football match. Now it's everywhere.

I went out yesterday and they played the song dozens of times. The version Alex's posted.

And all started with this :
