Thoughts on Adele's 21?

Postby Almostlity » Feb 14th, '12, 01:02

Gave it a spin(more than 1) after it started to gain buzz in KTT and other places. It really is a great album. Rolling in the Deep is probably one the best first singles on an album in years, no surprise its a big hit.

My personal favorite though is a tie between Someone like you & Set fire to the Rain.

And i don't need any close-minded responds etc. Leave your hate to Yeezus threads :y:

I haven't heard a single song from her, and I'm ashamed about that.

I just need to get in the right mood for it, I need to hurry my slow ass up

She has a good voice and that's it. Her songs are shit, she's no different than every other pop star.

She is really dope. I have to download 21 yet, but she has some great singles. And I love "chasing pavements" (which isn't on 21..)

People like her because she's fat, not because she's popular.

Yeah, I said it. I like her too, but I feel that people are overrating her slightly.

I like Adele and i love the "real emotion" put into the songs (thank god for the man who broke her heart lol) which makes her music sound pure and accessible. The big test for her is now though because the pressures and circumstances of recording are different. Remember newbie Rihanna, Beyonce, Whitney, Madonna...? The pressure to "switch up style" could, potentially, ruin her great attributes.

21 is well deserving of critical praise and insane commercial success.
