Yes...YES, YES.

I'm mainly into 80s thrash metal, though, but I love those bands.

Do you like A7X?

I guess it's comforting to know that there's people with a diverse taste in music like me, although, you sorta need to be pushed into getting into extreme music...This push includes going through some messed up shit...
I was obsessed with rap a lot more when I was younger...

Yes, I listen to all types of metal, then again, I listen to all types of music so.

There are too many great metal bands... from different eras...., not sure where to begin... I'll just name "a few", and being the swede that I am, I'll name a couple swedish bands too. Fact is, Sweden produce some great metal.

- Led Zeppelin
- Deep Purple
- Iron Maiden
- Dio
- Judas Priest
- Mötley Crüe
- Black Sabbath,
- Ozzy Osbourne
- Anthrax
- Slayer
- Rammstein
- Skid Row
- Motörhead
- Metallica
- Hardcore Superstar
- Mustasch
- System Of A Down
- Limp Bizkit
- Linkin Park
- Sabaton
- Soil
- Soilwork
- In Flames
- Raise Against The Machine
- Disturbed
- Slipnot
- Sonic Syndicate
- Bullet For My Vallentine

... and so on................

I like Bullet for My Valentine, 10 Years, Coheed and Cambria (not really that metal but they have a few heavy songs), Disturbed, Rage Against The Machine, Asking Alexandria's first album was good, Bring Me The Horizon, Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Metallica, Of Mice & Men, I've seen some people list Linkin Park so I will as well...I used to be really into metal but got into rap later and now that's what I normally listen to. I still kinda like metal though. :P

treble voices/Hard Rock---> AC/DC

Deep voices/Metal ----> Five Finger Death Punch

heavier distortion on Metal too but it's hard to explain in english.

The unforgiven II is amazing...

Metallica is a great band. My favourite song of theirs is probably "Fade To Black". Amazing song.

As for the "The Unforgiven" trilogy, for me its;

"The Unforgiven" > "The Unforgiven II" > "The Unforgiven III"

Hate to act snobbish but A7X or any of the other bands named here don't really categorize as 'extreme' or 'messed up' music. I don't even listen to metal but I'm sure most of the bands named here aren't even metal.

Metal has been around for a long time, and has taken different directions/shapes/forms...

Here's an example; The songs listed below are indeed quite different, and yet they all still are considered metal.

Iron Maiden - Fear Of The Dark (heavy-metal)

In Flames - Only For The Weak (death-metal / alt-metal)

Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name (rap-metal / funk-metal / alt-metal)
