I just went to the last day of the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago today. Unfortunately I had to work Fri/Sat so I could go for the first two days. Today I saw:
A Lull (Good),
Milk Music (Didn't care for them),
Thee Oh Sees (Also didn't like them),
Iceage (They were alright, but seemed over-hyped. The singer only half-pronounced his words, that bothered me.)
Ty Segall Band (Good, Ty made some jokes to the crowd at the beginning of his set that were pretty funny),
The Men (Good),
Kendrick Lamar (He fucking killed it, the only non-headliner I saw who was brought out for an encore),
AraabMuzik (Not usually a fan of dubstep, but seeing a dubstep show live is pretty cool. He was good until some local whack rappers came up (invited) and ruined the set)
Beach House (Super Chill, really good live.)
Vampire Weekend (Ended the festival. They had incredible energy, the drove the crowd insane, great closing act. They came out for 3 more.)
Overall my day at Pitchfork was great, definitely getting the three-day pass next year.
