I don't know the others, but I really like counting crows. Great band, very unknown here.

Ophelia by Kashmir is a great song, I don't love the rest of their stuff though.
I love The Killers. Hot Fuss and Battle Born are two great albums.

The lead singer (and only steady member) of the Mountain Goats was the guy on the end of "Coffee" on None Shall Pass by Aesop Rock. I'm pretty sure he played the guitar on "Pigs" as well.
