If that were the case, Jay-Z had the worst flow ever and Ke$ha has great flow.
Basically, either Eminem's self-esteem took a big hit...or he was brainwashed by some doofus into thinking that good flow is rapping syllable-to-syllable in generic drum-mirroring fashion.
His idea of "new, improved" flow was songs like Business, Square Dance, and his verse on When the Music Stops.
Sing For the Moment, on the other hand, was the first song he did for the album..."I hadn't quite mastered it yet, yo."
What he apparently forgot is he STARTED OUT spitting double time in beat-mirroring fashion.
There's nothing to master; if you can keep tempo, you can rap like that. It's for amateurs.
SSLP era flow is the most difficult flow for me to replicate out of all of his work. It's not the pace of it so much as it is the timing. I can rap really fast, but I can't hit the right spots effortlessly the way he could.

Exact opposite problem. I hit everything, but he can get too fast. otherwise, I can do all his shit.
