Why Space bound is Recovery's Best track

Postby KingDavid » May 12th, '11, 15:21

This is kind of a personal opinion, but just curious how many other people agree.

I think Spacebound is the most emotional and deepest song on the album,
everytime I hear it I cannot help but feel his emotions and relate to them-
more so than any other song. It's quite revealing, and shocking. ex:

So after a year and 6 months it's no longer me that you want
But I love you so much it hurts
Never mistreated you once
I poured my heart out to you
Let down my guard swear to god
I'll blow my brains in your lap
Lay here and die in your arms

Also this song is a perfect example of how eminems flow can go from one end to a complete other and be comprehendable, more so than any other song by Em ive heard before:

And before I put that gun to my temple
I told you this

And I would've done anything for you
To show you how much I adored you
But it's over now
It's too late to save our love
Just promise me you'll think of me every time you look up in the sky and see a star 'cause imma...

I think what makes the song great, is how relate able it is to anyone who has ever been in love,
let down their guard and then got fucked over because of it. The song's chorus is powerful and the verses are knowledgeable and dope... Discuss your opinion!!!

Wouldn't call it the best on Recovery, but I definitely think it's a fantastic track.

It's extremely atmospheric, the concept is incredible, the lyrics are on point, and, for something that Eminem has rarely done on the past (love songs), it's executed to perfection. It reminds me of a modern era Stan, since both are kinda similar in terms of content and delivery.

it isn't the best song on the CD, but, I agree with you, it's a very relateable track. :y:

tho, I notice there is a large female percentage who listen to it/like it solely because of the chours.

That's the mainstream listeners. You know those guys who only care for a hot beat and a catchy hook.
