Personally, I feel that the original is purposely written to be more relatable and accessible, which is fine, but it's not as detailed as we're used to, and Em's verse in the sequel is specific to his relationship with Kim. It's a close call for me, but I like the one verse on Part II more than all of the original, because it's more poignant and less generic.

Maybe Trshady hate is responsible for this but Part Two was bad because of the corny ass punchlines. Part 1 has the "Window Pane" one (which i just fucking hate) but part two had the puppy one, molehill one, etc.
Plus, it seemed the "build-up" was a bit faster than it should have been because he only had one verse to pen.

I like both tracks, but I'm obviously with the first one. Love how Em starts his verse, all of his verses are delivered perfectly. The transitions to the superlative hook (so happy Em had the idea with Rihanna) are clean. ADK did a great job with the production. This song really deserved the mind-blowing mainstream success it had.
