Classic. He was on a role recording music as "Jimmy Smith" during the filming of 8 Mile. Lose Yourself, Rabbit Run, 8 Mile Road are all ultimate classics.

My 5th favorite song of his. I love the train sound at the beginning (and how Em sent a guy to record it at that specific place) and the melody is very captivating. Of course Em destroys the beat too and there's the nostalgia factor i.e. memories of me wearing a hoodie and rapping (mumbling) along it. Great times.

What a fucking absolute unexpected surprise, the 3 main songs off the 8 Mile OST are some of your favorites? :o I would have never fucking guessed, especially not Lose Yourself, that song is definitely underrated.

8 Mile/Rabbit Run/LY make me wish that Southpaw was still happening, because if they were treating it like an 8 Mile sequel [which it sounds like they were], then Em probably would have done the soundtrack, and then we'd get a couple more instaclassics.

I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

Overlook him, he's apart of that "I don't like Lose Yourself so i'm cool" movement

First of all, I (The original Lose Yourself hater) do NOT hate the son and I acknowledge it's good. It's ovrrrated as fuck in my opinion and I get fucking pissed off when somebody says it's Em's best song. It has zero replay value for me, there are better tracks technically and musically, and I believe Lose Yourself is a piece of shit compared to other tracks from every angle, delivery (Soldier), rhyme scheme (Stimulate), multis ('Till I Collapse), beat (Drug Ballad), flow (Renegade), emotion (Say Goodbye Hollywood) and replay value (*insert 75% of Eminem's music here*)

And if you think that it's a movement than you're an idiot, it's my overspreading opinion of disliking Lose Yourself and The Way I Am which in people's opinions the best Eminem tracks

Now stop turning every two members with a similar opinion into a movement or a bandwagon effect and put something on that e-mouth before somebody put a dick on it.

Dude, calm down, I was completely joking

:y:

And just for the record, I don't think Lose Yourself is the best in all of those 'categories' you came up with. I just think it's the best for, well, I don't know how to explain it. Just it's significance, you know? It definitely isn't the best when you get technical because theres alotta songs that could claim that.

And, I do agree that The Way I Am is overrated, for me
