I highly doubt he's referring to the MTV list.

As MTV are hardly the bible of hip-hop.

I think you're taking the line too literally and he's speaking more poetically / metaphorically. Just on the penultimate list to hip-hop as a genre.

He's speaking to 'hip-hop' in a personable way so is saying hip-hop doesn't appreciate him. Doubt he's actually referring to one specific list lmao.
