My older brother bought the My name is single when it came out and used to play it at my parent's house so I guess it was about that time.

I wasn't really able to speak english back then but still I remember enjoying the TRSS and Without me singles (I guess the voice, beat and flow did it for me). Can you imagine the hard on I got when my english was finally good enough and I could understand what he was saying?

I knew the words to the "My Name Is" chorus a long time before i actully listened to the song itself, 'cuz everybody in my school (and i was like, 4th grade or something) was singing it and talkin' about it. Then, when i finally saw the video, i didn't understand a word of it, but i loved it, simply because visually it was the best thing ot TV back then, it was the only thing that made sense in the whole bunch of metal/pop star shits.

And i remember having CDs and audio cassetes of both MMLP and TES and playing them thousand times, and even creating bulgarian fan site for him ( :unsure:

), beeing admin of some irc based chat for Eminem fans, and... :coffee:

And then Encore came out and i was so offended, i never even listened to it entirely, untill last year

In 3rd grade when the MMLP came out, made my mom buy it on the first day... so it was before that i became a fan, i just remember sitting in my room with my friends playing shinny hockey and listening to the MMLP.

I feel like such a fucking stan after reading everybody else's stories.... damn white suburban kid growing up in a broken home....

And Forgot about Dre was freaking huge... I remember listening to the radio and i heard it 16 times in one day on one station. He was so fucking big back then that the Rock station in chicago was even playing stan.....

2001 I think
I mean that whole year is like a black hole in my head but I remember listening to "The next episode" on my friend's walkman in 2000 and I know it got well out of control by 2002 :flutter:

The funniest part is that while he might have been the most popular musician in the world at that time,he certainly wasn't among my friends/people I knew,everyone laughed at me for liking his music.Boys listened to metal/punk rock and girls to Aaliyah and Destiny's child
