Well pitch correction is used on "All She Wrote" I think like people said.
But normally I think it's due to layering. I'm sure some tampering / perfection of his vocals does also happen but it seems very minimal normally.
If you listen to like... "Space Bound" bridge, you can even hear the both layers (or more) at work. He sings one low and one very high and then puts the high ontop of the low. And makes it louder.
So in effect, the quieter / less-loud layer is... supporting his high one. Sounds better even if you can sing IMO. Well... maybe not but I've always liked how he's sounded when doing that. I saw the Bass Bros say they only started pitch-correcting his voice after "Kim"...
Which means, the SSLP choruses aren't pitch-corrected. So he still does that... half-high / half-low, werid... mesh chorus sound without it. It's unique and weird. Even if he can't sing it sounds fucking cool IMO. Like on "I'm Shady". He even sounds cool on "You're Never Over" to me though. Even though, objectively - I know it's bad-singing, I'm in agreement and not disputing that but it just sounds badass even so lmao. Just because of maybe, the timing or his natural root in melody. Like "Puke" also, I can appreciate it's almost ear-wrenching, but it sounds class.
