Autotune was/is supposed to be used as a pitch corrector. But, now artsists (T-Pain) use it to make their voice sound all robotic and shit.

So, to anwer your question he used it a pitch corrector unlike T-Pain.

Stupid people assume anything that changes your voice is Auto-Tune. Some kid posted a track on Youtube with a pitch shifter on the chorus (Not pitch correction, a pitch shifter. As in he heightened his voice to sound like a mouse for whatever reason) and there were a shit load of comments asking him why he used Auto-tune..Same thing happened when I saw some amateur put Echo on their vocals in a track lol...

This person is probably referring to the heavy Flanger on his vocals (and the beat) near the beginning of his verse.
