Don't listen to Lose Yourself for a few months

Postby MikeNUFC » Dec 23rd, '10, 17:12

...then listen to it. It's the best feeling ever. You'll be overcome with the quality of it.

I did this and right now I cant think of any song that tops it. Rhymes upon rhymes upon rhymes upon rhymes - I dont think I'll ever find every rhyme.

I knew it was one of his best, obviously, but having that break from it then listening has confirmed it as his best - just unrealy good.

I never listen to Lose Yourself anymore. Duno if its just cuz it's been so overplayed or not but I can easily go months at a time without listening to it. Probs only listened to it about twice in the past year.

I've experienced the same thing with "8 Mile Road". The song got deleted from my iTunes (don't remember why) and I forgot about it. Then I came across it 3 or 4 months later and I was absolutely stunned at how good it was.
I'll try that with Lose Yourself. :y:

I've done that before. Really just chilling how good it is and you appreciate and love it so much after not hearing it for a while. Sad that it gets old after a while...but I guess that happens when it's overplayed constantly for the past 8 years lol.

Came back to annihilate, the game's in dire straights, as I await
Word on Satan, as I drop, fall to my knees before this Quija board and I pray
Now I lay me down to sleep
I do this shit in my sleep, I’m sleepin' now, imagine if I awake

Same.

I still think 8 Mile Road is superior but by very little.
