That angry voice that he used throughout 'Recovery'

Postby RainMan44 » Jan 24th, '11, 07:16

The angry tone one he used in 'Recovery' and in all his features these past 4 months or so...he has it in the new D-12 leak, too....

My question is, is he doing it on purpose, or is that his actual voice now? I mean, it's like a low-pitched voice and it's like the angry kinda tone is coming from deep within...I can't explain it :facepalm

Anyway, is that how is voice is now? Can't he have this mellow voice if he wants now?

And when he got mad in that^, it sounded like the anger was on TOP of the voice, but this new anger in his newer songs is like it's lying in the bottom...oh gosh, can't explain it...some of you will get it, though.

(BTW I'M NOT CRITICIZING IT, I HAPPEN TO KIND OF LIKE IT.)
"This dude doing this interview wants me to spin a few,
Lyrics while I tie my tennis shoes in the nude
A romantic interlude in a livin’ room,
In an inner tube with a dude with a bit of lube
Fuck that I’m sniffin’ glue, sippin' gin & juice,
And a little bit of paint thinner with my dinner too,
You better pay me for my bars like your rent is due,
Now hurry up and finish dude before I finish you."

I think it's just his rapping voice now. I mean he still kinda talks the same as he has since TES era. But I think whenever he gets in the booth that's just his voice. Obviously there are many times where he deliberately tears his voice (which gives me chills, like when the beat changes on Despicable), but besides those times, I don't think that "yelling" is deliberate.

Also, I think he's more into his music than ever these days. Like he sounds really pumped in his recent shit. As opposed to layed back like "meh". He actually seems like he's trying to say shit now if you get what I'm saying.

i dotn find at that bad as most do, i dotn see the big deal. Im guessing its his new way of putting passion/emotion into it. as most recovery songs was passionate/emotional in a way...as for the d-12 song, it doesnt sound as loud/poweful as on recovery

I get exactly what you mean, and finally someone else who understands and hears the same thing I am! lol

Anyway, I wish he'd make a couple of tracks with that laid back voice he had, like the "Just Don't Give A Fuck' or 'Drug Ballad' voice.
