I don't think he ruined the songs at all. I don't feel like he said it to play things down. In Kill You he's obviously just jokin' around, so there's nothing to play down because we aren't taking the song seriously in the first place. Anyone who does, probably shouldn't be listening to Eminem. And in White America I'm sure he only did it to remind you of Kill You. I don't think it really goes deeper than that.

I'm a female too and I've never gotten offended whatsoever from Kill You either. Even if he thinks those things in his head, I highly doubt he truly hates women. As much as he talks about being the proud father of a little girl (who is now a young woman herself) how could anyone think he really hates women. You're right, some people take his words way too seriously
