Subliminal Disses

Postby ArsheyHaq » Feb 23rd, '12, 07:20

Around the time Relapse came out I heard that Em was dissing a lot of rappers like Haystak, The Game, Lil Wayne, etc. subliminally. I know a lot of them probably have no real concrete evidence behind them, but I love hearing these theories! :D

I'll start! The latest one I heard that got me curious again is Em dissing Wayne on 'Drop The World':

Em says,
"Sleep on me, that pillow is where your head'll lie
Permanently, bitch, it's beddy-bye"

as a response to Lil Wayne's line in 'Forever',
"I'm resting in the lead, I need a pillow and a cover"

And you can't stop me from dropping each March
with a brand new CD for these fucking retards

It sounds like a dis to his to his fans, but he subliminally dissed himself, because we don`t get a brand new CD each March, now do we, Mr. Eminem?

Speaking of Seduction, who was this supposed to diss?

to me it wasnt to anyone specifically. just him talking about how amazing he is and that the trumps anyone in the game. and he is smart to put it in a way that it seems like a love song to a girl. but we all no better. we are stans

I don't think Eminem really does subliminals tbh. I think fans read into his music too much.

I don't think he was dissing anyone, it just seemed like he was talking about any rapper who thinks they're better than him.

I always felt like he was dissing Nick Cannon on Seduction. Some of those lines could have been leftovers from a diss song he ended up scrapping.

Well why would it be subliminal? I would assume that after The Warning he wouldn't really feel the need to subliminally diss Nick Cannon. I agree with Kill You, it's any rapper who thinks too highly of themselves.

Yeah, what you say makes sense.

BUT around the time Recovery came out Eminem said that he won't bring up the Mariah stuff anymore cuz he feels like he's "beating a dead horse". I'd like to think that a lot of the disses that he says nowadays, which seem to be aimed at no one, are/were actually intended for someone specifically. He just doesn't drop names because he doesn't do beefs anymore.

Beginning of Marshall Mathers was a diss to DMX.
