This sounds like a hard rock instrumental, not a rap instrumental. He shouldn't have even rapped over it in the first place.

He's basically saying that there's no point in shouting on a track, but only uses that argument for a track he didn't personally like. Notice his excuse for the shouting on "Kim"? It's organic? Wait, this is a track that he likes. Let me think of an irrelevant adjective to use for that song to cover my tracks!

No, I'm saying shouting on an emotionally-driven concept track is completely different from shouting on a punchline track.

Kim has a single pervading concept, Won't Back Down is a bunch of random bars/punchlines.

Shouting on Kim was the only logical artistic choice. Saying, "bleed, bitch, bleeeeeeeeeed" in a calm voice wouldn't make any sense whatsoever.

And not surprisingly, the shouting on Kim was natural. It came from what Eminem was really feeling at the time, and you could tell by how believable it was. It was an outstanding vocal performance.

Not so with "Won't Back Down," where the yelling is monotonous and doesn't come from a place of emotion.

But you apparently think all yelling is the same thing, which is as stupid as saying all singing is the same thing. "Duhhhh...why are people complaining about Eminem's singing on 'One Shot 2 Shot?"
