And if they do, why haven't they learned from him over the years?

More than likely they get 'em, cause they probably write lyrics for D12 albums together most of the time (And by that I mean, Em is probably writing their verses and his )

But, I don't know why they haven't learned from him. They just aren't extraordinary lyricists

What the fuck? Firstly, you think Em writes D12's lyrics? Jesus Christ.

Secondly, none of D12 (yes, including Eminem) are extraordinary at punchlines. You really wanna hear them spit out something like, "Cuz I ain't playin' around, It's a game called circle and I don't know how"?
